About the event

Did you know that up to £250bn could be added to the UK economy if women started and scaled their businesses at the same rate as men?

Yet access and awareness of funding remains one of the biggest barriers for women entrepreneurs.

We want to change this.

Fund Her North is delighted to be bringing an access to finance masterclass - ‘Accelerating Funding for Women in Business’ event to Manchester on Wednesday 19th October, delivered in partnership with NatWest and Bruntwood Manchester.

We'll be sharing our tips, advice and insights to Northern based female founded and co-founded businesses seeking investment. This event welcomes female founded and co-founded businesses who are looking to raise investment now or in the future to a FREE full day workshop and interactive event.

You will hear from industry experts in our keynote speakers sessions, along with learning about the different forms of finance, through to developing a business model canvas and pitch deck to help prepare you and your business to become investor ready.

You will have the opportunity to ask us any questions and find out from a panel of experienced investors what attracts them to invest and what to expect from the process in the live Q&A. You will also hear from industry experts what investors look for, along with hearing from some of the North’s most successful female entrepreneurs on their journey to raising investment and scaling successful businesses.

Not one to miss!

About Fund Her North:

Fund Her North is a Northern-based, volunteer collective of over 30 women (in VC’s, funding organisations and angel groups), with a combined investment power of over £1.2bn. Fund Her North exists to give northern, female entrepreneurs equal access to funding to help them successfully scale their businesses. This is through providing connections, education, and by holding their hands through the funding raising process. Fund Her North supports women founders through every stage of their growth journey, through start up, to scale up and exit. As a first of its kind in the region, Fund Her North has built a network of over 400 members and a 37-strong Women Angels of the North syndicate to support female founders operating across the innovation and creative sectors in the North with access to investment.
