Women Angels Investor Education Programme - Launch Event (Cohort 2)

As part of the network's mission to tackle the UK funding gap for female-led UK businesses, Women Angels of the North have launched a Women Angels Education Hub in partnership with the UK Business Angels Association (UKBAA) as part of the national Women Backing Women campaign.

The Women Angels Education Hub offers a full free 12-hour Women Angels Investor Education Programme, which consists of workshops, presentations, interactive sessions and meeting angel investors who are actively investing here in the North. The first 12 hour programme was delivered at the back end of 2022 and received great feedback from participants, giving women the tools and support to learn more about the investing strategy and also learn how accessible angel investing can be!

Our launch event will be informative and interactive giving you the chance to learn about the fundamentals of angel investing as well as a dummy workshop session where you will have the opportunity to assess and analyse 3 dummy opportunities as an investor and make syndicate decisions. You will also have the opportunity to hear from some of the Northern regions most active women angel investors.

This event will be followed by a wider programme of activity including virtual bitesize workshops taking place every 2 weeks where we will be joined by industry experts to break down how to complete proper due diligence on a deal.
